Wednesday September 6, 8:30 am ET

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 6, 2006) - Everton Resources Inc.(TSX VENTURE:EVR - News) is pleased to announce the discovery of additional high-grade gold showings from two different locations on its 100%-owned Wildcat Properties, located around Goldcorp's Eleonore gold discovery area, in the Opinaca region, James Bay, Quebec. Everton's Wildcat Properties consist of seven claim blocks totaling 302 km2 and are numbered Wildcat 1 to 7. For a map showing the location of the Wildcat Properties please visit the Properties section on Everton's Website at www.evertonresources.com.

On Wildcat 5, additional prospecting and sampling 500 m east of the original "Manuel" Showing returned grades of 75.79 g/t Au, 24.20 g/t Au, 11.14 g/t Au, 3.30 g/t Au and 1.74 g/t Au from rock outcrop samples. These new gold outcrops are 500 m east of the results released on August 15, 2006 that announced a rock-chip sampling channel made perpendicularly to the mineralized structure on the "Manuel Showing" returned 10.6 g/t Au over 3.0 m and two grab samples collected on the same outcrop graded values of 18.0 g/t Au and 29.2 g/t Au. Mechanical stripping and diamond rock saw channel sampling are currently underway on the "Manuel" Showing and on its lateral extensions. More results are expected soon.

On Wildcat 2, initial sampling from outcrops and boulders returned grades of 14.51 g/t Au, 5.35 g/t Au, 1.22 g/t Au, 0.91 g/t Au and 0.67 g/t Au. These initial results are from a new zone named the "Inex" Zone Extension since they lie on strike and trend 1000 m east of the "Inex" Zone on Everton's Opinaca "A" Block. Everton's Wildcat 2 property is contiguous to the south-eastern edge of the Opinaca "A" Block. As reported on August 23, 2006 Everton and Azimut Exploration have identified numerous gold outcrops on the Inex Zone ranging in values from 50.9 g/t Au, 17.21 g/t Au, 13.87 g/t Au, 12.35 g/t Au, 9.13 g/t Au, 8.39 g/t Au, 7.98 g/t Au, 2.49 g/t Au and 1.05 g/t Au. An initial trench result returned 7.54 g/t Au over 0.5 meters. More trenching work and sampling are still in progress. A 1000-meter drilling program along the "Inex" Zone is planned for mid-September.

Field work was performed by the personnel of IOS Geosciences Inc. of Chicoutimi, Quebec, the personnel of Services Technominex, of Bellecombe, Quebec, and the staff of Everton, under the supervision of Marc L'Heureux, P. Geo., and Everton's Vice-President of Exploration, who acts as the "Qualified Person" as described by the NI 43-101. Samples were assayed at the Laboratoire Expert Inc. of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec.
