Delfino...I read this and it's really a matter of opinion. We all think we can do a better job than the one doing it. Whether it's Frank's way or your way the point that you proved here is there are several ways to go about a task and some win and some don't. It doesn't mean to say the effort failed. It may very well be the people targeted simply weren't interested in 2004, 2005 or 2006.

FRANK DID NOT CARE ABOUT INCREASING SUBSCRIPTIONS, ONLY ABOUT ATTRACTING INVESTORS. From all over the country - whether they could receive the signal or not, he didn't care. And that's where all of the marketing, and advertising, and press release efforts were geared toward. Selling stock, NOT getting viewers. Frank didn't give a crap about how many people were watching the station- he only cared about selling the stock.

People forget that before you can get subscribers, you need carriage. That's why you have to promote in areas where you're not carried yet - to put pressure on the local cable system (they're broken down by municipality, very fragmented) to agree to carry you and reserve the bandwidth.

Q was out there in major markets and communities, in parades etc., letting folks know they were up and running and encouraging them to contact and lobby their cable companies for carriage.

Olsen lied to shareholders about many things and deserves to rot in jail, but if you keep accusing him of things he didn't do then you're handing him a legitimate defense. Do we have to lie or exaggerate our case?
