LOL -- there's now a flat spot on my forehead from slapping it with my wrist and saying "geek". I thought maybe you were out of town and meant to type in IO or something. Brain cramp moment.
I know that at one point, the different sized battery-back-ups by Sentry were priced out. Anyone remember how much they ran? The truth be known, they really ARE a good thing to have as opposed to a generator - IF - they're price competitive. As far as a quiet, smooth and powerful source of power in an emergency, for a couple of hundred bucks, you can purchase a power inverter that hooks to the car battery. The car running for a time is nowhere near as noisy as a generator, but you've got to be real picky as to what you're running with it.
In summation, my thoughts on the Sentry power back-up is that it's a real good idea with probably lots of better known competition and (to date) poor exposure (Ace Hardware Stores? C'mon)
