"remain long" implies an indeterminate length of time.

I recently went long. With this company I trade. I believe we will see a bounce back up to $1. That would be a large percentage gain in a short time.

I don't need to be made "whole." This company has rewarded me well in the past for taking chances on the "wrong" side of things.
