Thanks Dan... My own brokerage house is Charles Schwab. I know they haven't been able to access the shares for at least a week. I also heard Fidelity and Ameritrade could not either. About two weeks ago, Charles Schwab was willing to access them from outside their own brokerage house, but no longer are. So as far as they are concerned, you can't short the stock with them because they can't find the shares to borrow to short.
I can't see how anyone would be willing to pay the kind of interest rate the shares are going for. Dan, do you use interactive brokers? Do you know what they are charging to borrow those 30k shares?
