Many, if not most, of the body of investors holding PSEC do so for the high yield and also the fact that it pays monthly. The frequent payout arrangement guarantees that we will not suffer the onslaught of a quarterly or semi-annual payer enduring a vicious swoon in share price. Not to omit unit pricing dips but all stocks endure such things.
That said, people aren't very likely to climb onto the PSEC board because of a rallying stock market. After all, ours is hardly a stock pick chosen for the sake of appreciation.
I look to PSEC for monthly income and share price stability, nothing more.
