Male or Female?

As opposed to what? That's part of what looks funky.

The other sentence is:
"Les technologies de base englobent les matériaux métalliques (alliages avancés) et leur production (y compris la fabrication additive, connu sous le nom d'ALM), le post-traitement et le contrôle, le formage, les procédés d'appairage et d'assemblage, pour tous les produits de systèmes spatiaux, en se concentrant notamment sur la structure métallique des lanceurs."

My buddy, Google, says that means "Core technologies include metal materials (advanced alloys) and production (including additive manufacturing, known as ALM), post-treatment and control, forming, the pairing process and assembly for all space systems products, focusing in particular on the metal structure of launchers."

Launchers?

I think I understand most of the message but get lost with the nuances.

Also, I added that link to what looks like a humanitarian assistance program by Airbus with people directly from the metal additive part of the business.
That would never be done where I work (for good or bad). I'm very impressed that they're even thinking of doing this. I'd like to understand the business case for doing this. Again, no disrespect to Airbus. It looks like they're using some of their most advanced resources in a completely altruistic manner. Frankly, I'm shocked.

I'd really like to know what the latter part of that document says. It won't easily translate using Google.

I'm sure that you are bang on Mauser. One uses the same kind of punctuation in English when there are alternate endings ... just not usually gender in English. But, French, yes, gender all the time!
