Could be a pinched nerve causing the numbness. I think it's usually number 4 or 5. Work on posture and see a chiropractor. You don't have to call him a dr. This helped with similar symptoms where cortisone injections in my spine did not.

epe..

Could have some median nerve compression. Carpal tunnel entrapment.

Why would Vascepa harm your blood work...Vascepa will improve your blood work, lower your inflammation..probably improve the median nerve issue..

got disc issues, and slight numbing in my right hand...just the thumb, index finger, and middle finger.....its not daily , but enough to be concerned about

You didn't ask me for advice, but I'm going to give you some - get an MRI on those disks, especially if they're cervical disks - in Jan 2004 I unknowingly herniated C6/C7 playing basketball, thought it was a simple shoulder injury - had numbness in 3 fingers of left hand, aching left elbow, and contact with the shoulder caused white hot stabbing pains. Basketball season ended, pain went away, numbness got a little better. Nov 2004 basketball season starts, first time my left shoulder gets hit the searing pain is back.

Went to my ortho, got an MRI, found out I had the herniation, it was pinching a nerve bundle that ran into my left shoulder/arm. First tried posterior surgery, hemilaminectomy and partial diskectomy, but the surgeon couldn't remove part of the bulging disk because it had been herniated for so long it was fused to my spinal cord, or so close he couldn't risk going after it. Surgery failed, was in horrendous pain now, had a cervical disk replacement in Jan 2005, thru the front of the neck, fixed it this time.

Moral of story - if I had seen my ortho right away, steroids and PT probably could have saved me from surgery.
