I think they just want to help Q3 numbers and give the platform to developers and benchmarkers early. It's very important that at the moment Doom is launched gamers have the clear understanding that A64 platform is the best solution they can buy to prepare for the big game.

I think AMD can ship 50K A64 and 10K Opterons in Q3. That stands for additional $12-$15 mil in Q3. Assuming the $90-Barton sales are going better and better, break-even or even a small profit is coming. Consensus is (0.13) - AMD will beat it.
