Much of what you say may be true at your micro level but I think you are missing many key points about ECIG on a macro level. You can not compare your marketing plan that focuses on regional customer loyalty and specialty products to ECIGs marketing plan which focuses on mass retail, brand recognition, and global expansion. If you look at things a bit more objectively I would think you would have to agree with these points:

-ECIG (both in the US and UK) has been extremely successful getting it's brands on the shelves of Mass Retail.
-ECIG has been more much successful then it's main competitors (Bit T) in transitioning from cig-a-likes to vaping products at the mass retail level.
-ECIG is the first to mass market with a pre-filled vaping system in the USA
-UK?? (not sure)
-Pre-filled vaping systems are less likely to be regulated then the alternative in both the US and UK.
-Industry Consolidation will happen
-ECIG will have a better chance of weathering regulations then smaller independents.
-It is possible many Vaping manufactures will go out of business with regulations.
-It is possible many independent/specialty shops will be put out of business with new regulations or be forced to carry more generic big brands.
-ECIG has successfully began entering markets other then the US and UK and should be able to continue doing so (if it remains part of their plan).

Is this pumping??

Lpool. One other point. There are many smokers like me who are very happy with the FIN AVS. I use it to cut down on my smoking and in hopes to quit all together. It is affordable, it is convenient, and it serves it's purpose as an alternative to smoking. I have been into a vape shop before and bought a cheap starter mod and some refillable liquid. Spent $40-$50 bucks, used it a few times and now it just sits in a drawer. After buying the FIN AVS I will never step foot into a vaping shop again. No need to because I am happy with the product (produces a better vape then the cheap mod), it is convenient (available at 7 locations withing a mile of my home) and it is affordable (only spend $5-10 a month on refills).

So while many of the vapers you see in your shop, do vape as a lifestyle. there are also many like me that are content with the more affordable and convenient smoking alternatives.
