Companies put forth fraudulent and misleading all the time. Micros are huge offenders. They could care less about any governing authorities because the odds of getting caught are about the same as the one guy that gets a speeding ticket on the LA freeway while the other 5 million drivers roll on a frenetic paces. I would hazard a guess that over 80% of the financial reports / PR issues are false/misleading. I've contacted FINRA/SEC on several companies and they just don't have the time to be bothered with the small frys. Ces't la vie.
