Long day but yes all went well.
They went in thru the groin because they wanted to see how the different chambers pumped as well as some other tests .
Good news ...not enough plaque to require stenting.
From a Cath I had in 1986 ...I knew I had about a 15% buildup
They estimate that I now have less then 20% .
They attribute the slow accumulation to the fact that I,ve been on max dose statins since 1987 and live a healthy life style ( diet and exercise ) .
Fact is ..Statins work ...at least for patients with my lipid disorder.
Afterwards my Cath Cardiologists and I discussed PCSK9's , the ACC15 underway AND I had him read Amrins presentation ...off my Iphone ...thanks to Zuman who had sent it to me.
He also said that he saw I already had a script for Vascepa and wanted me to continue taking . "No harm , likely benefit " were is exact words I believe )..but noted that opinion was divided within Kaiser between those that wanted RI finished and proof of benefit ..and those that shared his view.
Huge relief on my part ..thanks for the support from you and the others ( you know who you are :-) )
