#66232 RE: Watts Watt #66227

Watts can you provide links to any documents that prove either of these questions or your own conclusion to be true?

Two questions:

Why isn't Engel selling more Liquidmetal machines?

Why isn't Materion selling BMG's to anyone other than research laboratories?

The answer to both questions is Liquidmetal Management.

Liquidmetal Management has been the hindrance and handicap to revenues progress.

Watts.

Q: Why isn't Engel selling more LQMT machines?

o I wish I knew. I also wish I had a clue about the actual number of machines sold.

Q: Why isn't Materion selling BMG's to anyone other than research laboratories?

o I wish I knew. I also wish I knew how much material was being sold.

A: The answer to both questions is LQMT Management. Management has been the hindrance and handicap to revenues progress.

o I can see how management is totally responsible for their own lack of progress. But I don't buy that they would or even COULD impede others' progress or efforts ... It's a free market competitive economy and impotence can't and won't stop progress.

The only way they COULD inhibit others' progress is by imposing insane royalties on the sale of equipment or material and, frankly, I would think that out of the realm of reason as such would have been negotiated and agreed to BEFORE Engel and Materion had invested in the technology and they each would have walked away if terms were egregious.

There are, actually, at least two other reasons: a) the tech don't fly / isn't competitive (I don't believe this one), and, b) as with any revolutionary tech, it will take time to take hold and gain market adoption.

My expertise in this industry is limited but I'm betting the actual reason for any slowness of sales (if indeed there is a slowness of sales - again I wish we actually knew) is "b".

But there's GREAT news on this ... Timing as it is, we've not gotten much transparency on this issue from other sources. But in two months we should hear some legitimate answers out of Materion.

I, for one, will be listening.

Also wish I could attend their investor day in NYC ... Again, can anyone be there?
