Nonsense, every business and business plan makes/sets a timeline of target dates, it is SOP for any business or engineering project. Just because there are unknowns when the time line plan is created is no excuse not to create a timeline and target dates. In the R&D and product development engineering stages, not meeting target dates is more the rule than the exception, I know this because I have worked in this field for over 42 years in dozens of successful start ups like MVTG. Even construction and fabrication time line Gantt charts have delays from delivery delays, and weather events...etc.
