Exactly, the crisis could have been a lot worse than it was...and it was BAD.
Having a couple companies fail was all they needed to scare the hell out Congress.... If AIG would have been allowed to fail, we would still be in a depression. Can you imagine how many retirees that would have lost their life savings in annuities?
