This speaks to the different stages of brain cancer. The prior chart showed the breakdown of the gene groups depending on stage. The longer tail survivors tend to be proneural (prior DCVax). That group has higher ID1H mutations and tend to be younger patients. In earlier stages, the proneural group is large, making up more than 40+ percent. In GBM, that proneural gene subtype dramatically drops to 13%, and that is one of the reason why GBM survival prognosis (prior to DCVax) is so bleak.

DCVax works well on patients whose immune system present inflammatory like conditions, as present in many late stage cancers, the Mesenchymal subtypes.
