Right on Dig. While kudos should be given to Solms on the/a sale..there needs to be more..and this certainly doesn't warrant the over reaction that has appear. If anything, the mood should be extremely cautious, but optimistic.

I don't disagree on any of that.

What I think it shows is a much higher percentage of shares are now in the hands of people who are not old-time believers.

dig - Agree with much of that.

BUT, you could say that the gov't deal they did for VSC was the first sign of movement. And it's not without merit to Solms that he dusted off something, re-branded it, and sold it to a huge company competing with current brands. Another source of decent income we weren't banking on.

Dig: That is the most insightful post yet about this deal. It certainly puts it in a lesser light than when news first broke.

Thank you for your analysis--on target!

"Hence, no reason to suppose follow on sales, no reason to think somebody is "geting it" ... just some runway."

It is a commodity type of product. But at least the demand for such products is unarguable. Maybe Safend doesn't have much of an edge. But perhaps they can compete and generate sales.

I mean, who really cares about getting it except supply siders seeking their vindication (or put alternatively, an escape from a decade's collective humiliation). Cash is king. The development costs of safend's products are sunk. So the gross margins will be high. Safend was already doing the best of Wave's divisions. This might actually make it profitable!

Maybe they have earned more than one exclamation mark!!
