#26108 RE: Transat 5 #26104

Globetel Europe´s progress in Germany (Kaiserslautern, Erfurt and Rüsselheim) is bearing first fruits.

" Altvater currently supplies wireless hotspots in various areas of Europe with key cities of Kaiserslautern, Erfurt and Ruesselsheim Germany. These cities are the first major locations that are part of a longer-term plan to deploy HZ 4000 series Networks to 140 cities and towns in Germany, where DSL or cable is unavailable. "

In Germany Globetel is acting only in the build out and as a supplier of the technology and they won´t own those networks which would mean no longterm $$$$.

It seems they are working closely with Arcor Telecom in Kaiserslautern to build the WiFi Pilot there as it looks like they use the Altvater´s Hotzone technology. The University of Erfurt looks also to be involved and last but not least the pilot in Rüsselsheim with AKF Tele Cable is bearing fruits and is up and running.

They have a multi-dwelling unit MDU-WiFi broadband pilot project in Rüsselsheim up and running. And Globetel seems to be the supplier for two reasons: They are using DECT/WiFI technology and the PR contact named in the following PR.
