2creat: Nord is a daughterly sub to Rosneft? That is interesting where did you uncover that. The article I found said that NORD and Rosneft were both relatively new PRIVATE companies not state.

I came out of a Russian publication and was fairly recent.
Do you have a link which contradicts that, if so please post it.

2 Create here is the Link ART. Russneft as a private firm and Northwest as a private firm. Competitors with Gov connections.

Not to dispute but I don't understand how:

Nord can RV Merge with Northwest and have been owned by Russneft all along.

That to me would say that (if you are accurate in Nord being a sub of Russneft) that Nord just bought out the competition of Northwest according to the link below:

Pls give me your thoughts, if that is true than things are much more likely to be a stronggg situation in the future since 59% of the post merger entity will be owned by Northwest.
