Do not read too much into the volume. We had one day where one person sold himself 100,000 shares moving his own shares from one broker to another, taxable account to an IRA, and it was 100% of that days volume. Volume can be fake or very misleading, just like MM bids and asks. One max MM bid or ask can be hiding huge volume at a slightly lower or higher price even on L-2.
