My guess is the document was filed because Loflin is involved in the recent activity in some fashion. The filing is essentially meaningless in terms of what's been going on with these guys over the past two years, but based on what I'm reading here people are acting like they company's being bought out by Apple. In a day or two this thing will settle back at .0001 for another six months or so.
