Assuming you identified yourself as an investor or prospective investor then they certainly should have a more professional approach to handling your call.
However once put through to Investor Relations I hope you don't get anything you expect from your request.
You should only have access to the same material that all investors have. The least you should expect is a hedged timeline e.g. "hopefully by the end of the quarter" for updates.
Otherwise they fall foul of the SEC and I'm not sure what trouble you could be in.
