I don't think that is true about us all being enjoined with the lead plaintiff. The link below leads to the recent US Supreme Court unanimous ruling on class action status for securities cases. I am not a lawyer but look at the explanation at the end of the article and how it is now very difficult to get class action status on these cases ans they are typically limited to 50 or less plaintiffs. This makes it less lucrative to the law firms pushing the cases as their percentage take is much lower with only 50 plaintiffs. Maybe some of the lawyers on the board can comment but I think this is the new reality thanks to the recent Supreme court ruling.
