Attacks on Visser (from relatively early on), Malibu comments, CIP references, "executives" reading comments "for laughs"...Visser came in to grab it all, but those employment agreements were given to those 2 to make it difficult for Visser to do that and not give Salas and Chung the boot, because you know they would have been first, along with their extra job security as Pres and VP of CIP.
