There does seem to be a lack of interest by US investors. Rather that's due to awareness is a good question. They did have a moment of popularity at the peek.
Pardon the conspiracy ;-) but I almost feel like media and analysts aren't giving Arcam much praise due to the fact that they put so much behind DDD, which has continually disappointed. I have mentioned previously how Fool's Steve Heller has downplayed Arcam publicly but that his disclosure states that he is a shareholder.
There has been a throw spaghetti at the refrigerator and see what sticks trend with several 3D companies. All the while, Arcam has been focused like an electron beam ;-) While Arcam is a shiny spot, the sector as a whole has been tarnished and many investors don't know how to break down the 3D printing sector into it's profitable subcategories.

PS. check with Interactive Brokers. Not sure if they will allow it for IRA accounts but they are typically good when it comes to international exchanges.
