I know dynamic has approached samsung and htc for a license according to dockets that were supposed to be censored. There might be an agreement to pay up if dynamic wins/settles with apple. I'm sure there is a strategy and Mr. Croxall knows much more about this business than I. As for the trial date, I'll let you guys know as soon as I see something. Been quiet on the docket lately, and there is a hearing coming up mid February. They might schedule it at the hearing.

Good question msl2008, hard to know. What we do know is that it appears as though in total, Apple made almost ten unsuccessful attempts to challenge the 798 patent. Last I checked, they had no further pending papers before the PTAB. I also believe Apple may not appeal the non-institution of an IPR to the Federal Circuit.
