Hi, Bruce. So, you are still here and you are still you! I know your worst fear was that you would lose yourself through this surgery, but it seems that did not happen, and that is very good news indeed!

I'm not sure I understand your prognosis, but God has upheld you in everything you have been through so far, and I do not believe He will let you down now.

Please keep us posted (or have your wife post) as to the progress of your recovery, Bruce. A lot of us here care about you and have been, and still are, very worried.

I had a wake-up call four years ago and in a sense I see this as your wake-up call. Sometimes it takes something like this to remind us what a precious gift life is. We all take it for granted much of the time, not realizing how quickly it can change or be gone altogether. So, treasure each moment, keep fighting, and with God's help you will make a full and complete recovery.
