I know, I'm glad to see you're finally making sense. Too bad both you and AMD couldn't see the inevitable years ago when there was a chance for AMD to find some niche. They might have survived instead of all that destruction of shareholder value just to fuel vendetta's. I'm surprised Jerry didn't use the promise of 72 untouched Opterons just to con some shareholder into strapping dynamite to his body to blow himself up in the RNB lobby.

The *x86* *ISA* actually. Very few *OSes* of worth don't run on x86
so don't conflate the two.

the economy always benefits from diversity in pervasive underlying
technical standards.

You know, the choice to buy either 110 V 60 Hz electricity from power
company A, 180V 48 Hz from company B, 319 V, 400 Hz from company
C and so on. Gives the individual a wonderful freedom to choose to
best meet *their* needs.
