Thanks. Well, your questions raise some VERY IMPORTANT issues & imhv misconceptions: Let's look at some FACTS (per industry avail data)
1) UltraHD 4K adoption is outpacing the transition from SD to HD. 2) 1.5B Global-TVs are replaced every ~7yrs.
3) Meaning, we'll be seeing ~600,000 UltraHD/4K TV Sales DAILY!! 4) That's ~4.2mm NEW UltraHD/4K TVs/week.
(Important: These numbers do NOT account for mobile, tablets, digital signage, &/or any other 4K-enabled screens &/or devices. We could be looking at a 3-5B market as UHD/4K becomes the norm)
Ever hear of the statement: "Penny-wise & dollar-foolish"?
NTEK has been VERY DOLLAR WISE & posts discussing audits, customer marketing, advertising to consumers, etc. are (imhv) being "penny-wise"...Missing the BIGGER PICTURE. How's that?
Let's look at why I think this is, what NTEK has done: Research the past year. NTEK has focused on ONE MARKET!! ONE! (A little discussed FACT for which they get little to no credit btw)
UltraHD 4K TV Manufacturers!!!
They have been to over 12 International Trade Shows in under one year. (Look at the facts!! Think along WITH them.) Substantiation: http://tinyurl.com/ontvc78
That's right. Why? Was it successful? Did it pay off? How do we know?
Well, these are the MORE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS!!! Again, why? This is the more important question because it shows thinking ALONG with NTEK, instead of thinking one KNOWS BETTER....
So, if one does their DD. They'll NOTE that CES is a BUSINESS- TO-BUSINESS FORUM. Your post continues to focus on consumers whereas NTEK has been FASTIDIOUSLY focused on the manufacturers. (Don't let the name "Consumer Electronics Show" dissuade from that REALITY:
160,000+ industry users, execs, buyers, service providers, etc., converge on Vegas ONCE A YEAR for this show...
So, how'd NTEK do?
Well, .... 1) NTEK was THE ONLY ALL-4K TV-Network. 2) Sony, Samsung, Vizio, Hisense ALL had a presence & association with NanoTech's UltraFlix product.
Industry data suggests a current consumer base of ~15mm total units. When NTEK has finished porting to those key manufacturers who've sign-on they'll have a platform reaching 18mm new users per monty of ~220mm/yr (in addition to the 15mm current)
1.485 BILLION UltraHD 4K TV units have yet to be sold. NTEK being ported onto these manufacturers units is A HUGE COUP!! No one else in the industry, aside from Netflix DID THAT!!!
And, being DOLLAR WISE (as NTEK has) means the horse is BEFORE the CART!! Not the other way around.
I could go into FAR MORE detail but I hope you grasp what I have discussed here thus far.... addition to the 15mm current.
[] How many tablets, handhelds, mobile &/other screens exist currently?
[] What's the growing Go-Pro camera-niche, trend, etc., numbers?
Keep in mind: 1.5B current global TVs was from best-avail data I could link to this board & is over ONE DECADE OLD. Has that market grown? (China's raging & upcoming 1B projected middle-class, India, other similarly emerging & growing Latin America & other markets, etc.)
[] What is the total number of screens & devices that will be UltraHD 4K equipped over the next 2-7yrs (or more)?
Conservatively we have about 2BILLION UltraHD/4K TV unit sales coming over the next decade or so.
NTEK has secured porting commitments to get UltraFlix on to many of the WORLDS MOST RECOGNIZED BRANDS...
The time for a consumer focused strategy will come when some of these manufacturers actually launch their full product lines. We haven't even seen the full UltraHD 4K TV product lines that were announced at CES.
Another FACT: As you saw @ CES, UltraHD 4K TV Manufacturers are GOING TO PROMOTE UltraFlix themselves!!!
Meanwhile NTEKs NEW UltraFlix v1.5 is out, we have content they promised, more categories, features & options AND ADVERTISEMENTS popping up now on UltraFlix with MORE ON THE WAY!!!
NTEK is staying focused on the business. ANYONE even considering an investment here should buy a Nuvola NP-model &/or get the UltraFlix product to see for themselves. It makes DD much easier to do & keep abreast of REAL CORPORATE DEVELOPMENTS as they happen!!!
