I'm wondering how you know that any companies are already making knockoffs of GTAT's furnaces? I'm not denying that what you say it true, but the link you posted only refers to 35kg and 70kg furnaces, which is well below ASF's current output. Granted the report is also referring to 2012, so who knows what's developed since then. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Chinese were knocking off GTAT's technology, it happens in every industry.
