Good find! I do think this is important. It seems to be about a hand controller unit concept only, that it would be generic, not specifically part of the SPORT platform (2 snake arms and all that). That is, any robotic system could utilize it, as long as that system feeds it sensing data. Did not read it in detail, but a Patent is way better than a patent application. I don't know anything about patents along similar lines but there must be something in this that is quite novel. Glad Titan has it.

While some would argue that Titan should press release this to drive PPS up, I am not expecting it and that is why at times, I find this board so very valuable, when I can sort thru the Charlie Brown adult talk and get a piece of info like this, it helps give me reassurance in my investment

IITF, this is an excellent piece of DD, thanks for your continued efforts. I admit I'd appreciate a little fanfare on this from Titan but I'll take consolation from the knowledge that I'm invested in a winner. When an engineer is truly impressed with the solution to a difficult problem, I've heard a word used that can easily apply to this patent........elegant!
In relationship to: lines 50-60 in section 4 on page 9: I take this to mean that the hand controller can be easily fitted on any upgraded version of SPORT. I believe the hand controller can only be used in SPORT since Titan holds the patent. This plays into the whole idea of having a modular design (which SPORT has) so that hospitals are not cornered into having to buy a whole new system whenever they want to upgrade. A certain single component can be improved on or upgraded and fitted into the original purchased SPORT without having to purchase a whole new robot...unlike that other company. This is one of the biggest complaints of the "customer", I being one of them. It is being addressed from the get go.
Hi - just reading through this again and wondering what your thoughts are on the date of this.. 2009 and filed in 2012, both dates pre-dating the SPORT. I wonder if this Amadeus tech applies to SPORT?
