If CTKH was shorted , the time to do it was when the R/S happened.
Or possibly after the Pump run of late 2002 early 2003 (?).
However...in both cases there has been ample opportunity to cover any shorts (NSS or otherwise) with a large profit.
Shorting is done (predominantly) for profit...and I believe it would already have been taken.
As to the extent...
No way to know...but NOT the "billions" claimed.
I have NEVER discounted shorting as a legit probability with CTKH. However, its inflated use as a "Tool" to hide deficient management , lousy performance and as a carte blanche excuse for company woes is pervasive.
And of course ,its use to bolster the pumpers arsenal is all too well documented.
