Plain and simple....if Apple wants Sapphire, in the quantities they need, they will have to go through GTAT. Period.

Whether GT is in bankruptcy or not. Whether Apple gets someone else to buy the furnaces from GT and produce the Sapphire. Whether Apple continues the production in Mesa without GT....the fact remains, Apple needs to go through GT to get the technology it needs, this includes patents.

This renders your argument invalid because you said Apple would not deal with a bankrupt company.
