I may disagree with the "no further direct partnership". The settlement agreement clearly states..."Continued collaboration" and "Sharing of technology".

Apple can design anything they want, but they CAN'T build anything. Apple does not actually produce anything, they have to hire other people to do it for them. Also, some of those things that Apple "designed" were based upon IP from GT. Can't build them without permission from GT to use their technology and patents.

Once again...Apple CAN NOT do this project without GTs products. Apple NEEDS the products that GT makes. GT does not need Apple.

I also guarantee that when it comes to purchasing their products, other companies will not care is GT is in bankruptcy.
