Maybe because it is a better solution.

Might even speculate that Dell agrees.

Just maybe.

How some people make their DD …
Step 1 : they encounter a certain person on a message board (let’s call this person for example “itsokey”)
Step 2 : they got some deep thinking and associate “itsokey” with 1 of the 7 billion people walking on this planet (let’s call this person for example “Peter Bookman”)
Step 3 : they are convinced of their theory and tell everyone around that “Itsokey” = “Peter Bookman” … no evidence needed, but they are surely right
Don’t got it yet ? Another example :
Step 1 : they encounter a new technology (let’s call this one “Glassware”)
Step 2 : they got some deep thinking and associate this “Glassware” with another technology (let’s call this one “vaporware”)
Step 3 : they are convinced of their theory and tell everyone around that “Glassware” = “Vaporware” … no evidence needed, but they are surely right
Don’t got it yet ? … sorry, then you will never get it.

Is this just a blatant attempt to mislead?

Are you kidding me? RDP has been around for ages. You are comparing apples to oranges.

From this logic, you might as well put VMWare ESX in the same light.

except of course MSFT CANNOT support legacy programs not compatible with MSFT's most current operation systems and especially those programs even developed on MSFT XP...which programs can no longer be supported and soon almost impossible to operate without great expense from ISO (non-Microsoft supported)

...that is where Glassware comes in...Bingo

...again Derek Smith leave...the small "facts" out...

...from the field

...compatibility still a major issue...unless you want to spend a bundle and still not get cross-platform capability

...MFST still not ubiquitous ...think BYOD and "everywhere"...

...and there is MSFT Virtual Desktops...then there is V3 and ease of administration and significant savings...

...there is Sphere3D/V3/Overland ... then there is everyone else :-)
