The rent seems OK. I see he was smart enough to take two months security in case Wave can't pay up. :)

Cliffdweller is corret about the "landmark contribution". The building is a NYC landmark. If I remember the street corectly, there are three floors to the building. Three seperate living spaces(three apartments). Based on the size I would imagine that WaveXpress is planning on using two floors, leaving Michael the one where he is currently living.

I could be wrong, and I joked as such, but I would believe that Micheal is not renting his own space to Wavexpress, but renting the other two floors out. This is purely a guess on my part based on the building and the fact that there are at least three seperate living spaces. (One can probably check the reverse address phone book for other tenants)

I am still surprised by the rental,very surprised, but It probably isn't as bad in reality as it sounds. It is on my list of questions :)
