LOL. It was true. Back in the 70s I rented a room in the apartment of an ex-priest who sang with us in the choir at the cathedral. When I moved out, he rented my room to Ledermeister. His real name was Paul, and he was shy and very devout. (And just happened to be a famous leather porn star.) Today he's an actor. The ex-priest went back to the priesthood, was stationed at the cathedral, and fired the excellent paid choir, hoping to replace it with a black gospel choir. Failing at that, he hoped to establish a group of hundreds of volunteers. Didn't happen. He eventually had to settle for a small band of tone-deaf volunteers. Finally he was transferred to a small parish where he pursued his true passion... black men.
