Use a vaccine to prevent shingles.
Get treatment fast if you have an outbreak (acyclovir, etc.)
Take Tagament or get a prescription for cimetidine if you have an outbreak to reduce the pain. (Of course, we'd have to find out whether cimetidine and acyclovir can be taken together.)
