I can't see AAPL letting their Gigantic Corporate Ego getting in the way of doing business with GTAT if doing business with GTAT is in AAPL s best interest. $ trumps Ego, hopefully.

Can't imagine where they could walk to for the same technology....but they are Apple, they MAKE others walk for them.

Also brings up the interesting points in the settlement...continued collaboration, advancing the boule process, ability to continue using shared processes.

I still find it hard to believe this was only a "temporary" facility to "try" growing boules as others have eluded to with moving the process to China. Those pics of the facility are pretty impressive and can't imagine it would be easy to take all that stuff apart and move it, considering it was only built within the last year or so.

I'd equate that with me having a 2 acre lawn. My riding lawnmower is broken so i send it out for repair. In the meantime, i purchase a cheap pushmower to cut the lawn while my rider is being repaired. Silly analogy...i know, but i hope it makes sense.

I'm sure other companies have been foaming at the mouth over this and are drooling uncontrollably now! They probably have a better grasp of what may have been going on there and know how to capitalize off of it too.

Apples name carries alot of weight...would still rather have them stick around.
