The volume drying up is a good thing in my opinion. Most of the recent volume was selling. So drying up means selling has decreased, and hopefully subsided. Now what we have to deal with is those that picked up these cheaper shares now putting in sell orders to try and get some small gains. On a more positive side, I think more of the volume has been buys, and many at the ask. So, looking more positive now.

I think something to also bear in mind is that the actual dollar amount that is getting traded is pretty small. So I think it's smaller investors taking their year end losses or getting some money for Christmas or something else minor. But not so much dumping of shares (diluting) to finance something major.
