It may not matter whether they buy or not. As for their reasons, we can only surmise they see hidden value within their new shares. These folks are so well paid, I tend to mistrust their motives, thinking it may be more about window dressing than a true desire to profit. After all, they receive huge salaries along with generous option packages.
In the end, don't we go with our gut? I know I do. And I've been adding to my positions, now nearing nine thousand shares. I don't see much chance of share price erosion from here. While I'm somewhat underwater, I don't let myself get too upset with that as my motivation for holding the stock is monthly distributions. It would be quite different if thinking of liquidation. I'm not.
