I strongly disagree with one item of yours. If they cut once, it will be viewed as a necessary step in order to preserve the integrity demonstrated by management. If they should find the need to cut a second time, it will be nothing more than the tweaking of the motor responsible for driving the machine.

Cuts are commonplace in high yield stock plays. This is one of the best justifications for asset allocation measures. Cuts hurt those of us dependent upon the monthly distributions. At the same time, they are absolutely essential if only to protect the company's longevity. However, this also can be expected to bring up issues regarding management salaries and options packages.
