Maybe so, But who wants to wear a headset? Also with practice the mind solution BCI will work faster, just takes practice. I guess we will all be smarter and confident in 10 weeks or so when we are able to see more.
Excellent point but the real thing to consider here in comparison is: This device will be great for general users and won't carry the large price tag. The price point is the real reason this product has a great chance at succeeding.
It is also more fashionable and portable than previous options. General users will be a huge untapped market if this takes off.
Braden, What you misunderstood is the MSI short video demo shows how the BEST BCI product is used to teach the software to recognize the User's brain patterns in regards to controlling the barrel by igniting it. Once, the software recognizes this the reaction time would be in the sub-second rate. Its like training a (Dragon) voice recognition software to understand your accent when giving voice commands. This process right now is a bit crude but a necessary evil to get this basic software to understand your thought waves. As the software technology matures there will be less and less training required and more immediate and direct thought control reaction from the MSI BCI software. Be patient and as newer versions of the software come out you will see these small improvement steps.
