#1711 RE: monkeybuilt #1710

To follow up on what Monkeybuilt has done.

I've reviewed the press releases on unit sales this year. I've separated them into subcategories for type of use that's indicated in each press release. Also given is the PR date, country or continent (if known), and the unit model (if known).

4/25/14 US
5/8/14 ? (Q20)

I knew that the Q20 has a bigger build volume than the Q10 but didn't realize that it's physically quite a bit larger. The maximum beam power is 3,000 Watts for the A2X, Q10, and Q20.

A2X
Beam spot size (FWHM)0.2 mm – 1.0 mm (continuously variable)
build envelope of 200 x 200 x 380 mm
size and weight
1850 x 900 x 2200 mm (W x D x H), 1420 kg
6.07 x 2.95 x 7.22 feet (W x D x H), 3130.6 lbs

A10
Min. Beam diameter 100 µm
build envelope of 200 x 200 x 180 mm (W x D x H)

Alright monkey, I see your point. I concede.

You also manage to come up with a fair hypothesis as to why I experience the weird but wonderful sensation of smelling money. Good job.

By the way, here is another one:

25.11.2014: Order for EBM system from US aerospace industry
Arcam, listed on NASDAQ Stockholm, today received an EBM system order from a major player in the US aerospace industry. The system will be delivered in 2014.

Im curious to hear what this wonderful board thinks of this rather swift delivery? Wouldnt you agree that delivery 1 month after order announcement is rather fast? It also means that it will count as a system delivered in Q4 and with the recent (in my opinion extreme focus on systems delivered) this is clearly good news for Q4.

Gotta love that smell :)
