OK, so drilling for shale oil isn't profitable below $75 /bbl. No Problem. Obama will give then subsidies so they can appear to be profitable. Right?

After all, he is President of all the people. Isn't he?

When drilling for shale oil is no longer profitable, oil companies will stop drilling for it. It's call "Market Forces".

Saudi Arabia and OPEC are trying to kill fracking because it's a threat to their control of oil prices. But there will surely come a time when crude tops $90/bbl again the shale drilling will resume.

It's called "Market Forces"
