Bloomberg had a short video describing aerofarm which looks very interesting. There seem to be many benefits but I'm not sure they'll outweigh the costs.
I followed this up looking at aero's website which provided a little more detail.

Snippet: Demand for agrifoods in India will rise by 136% by 2050, according to a report by the Australian department of agriculture’s research centre, Abares.
Viptera is the GMO-corn product that caused SYT to be sued by several gain processors who alleged economic damage from the drop in the price of corn when China refused to accept their shipments. SYT says the suit has no merit insofar as Viptera was legally sold to US growers who knew (or should have known) that the crop couldn’t (yet) be exported to China.
I’m long SYT and don’t think this lawsuit will amount to anything of consequence.
SYT ADRs are +4% today even as Syngenta shares in Zurich (denominated in Swiss Francs) closed down 9%, due to the surprise currency move by the Swiss National Bank.
