You could be right, but I don't think so. We are just now coming into hurricane season and all a storm has to do is enter the gulf and the plateforms will be shut down. This in turn will cause an interuption in service, which in turn will cause a shortage, which will drive prices even higher. My wife commutes 72 miles each day to work so I'm not looking forward to this years storm season. I'll like it much better if your prediction is the one thats closer to the truth.
I hate to burst your 'bubble', but the need for Oil and Gas won't be going anywhere, anytime soon. Like it or not, we're still gonna need them for a long time.
