The average ASP of IoT is 1$, which is not kind of the market I see Intel making big money at.

Why? Value added is value added. The application determines the
price as a balance between buyer's benefit and seller's cost.


I don't think Intel will make a lot of incremental revenue in IoT from a silicon perspective. Rather, it's their chance to grow as a services company, especially in regards to their security and RTOS assets.

These are all embedded markets Intel serves-microcontroller based.
Intel cost to produce must be less that $0.50. This helps in capacity utilization. One of the slides(SS)showed that factory utilization close to 100%.
