The average ASP of IoT is 1$, which is not kind of the market I see Intel making big money at.

Why? Value added is value added. The application determines the
price as a balance between buyer's benefit and seller's cost.

I know of a chip company whose ASP is under half a buck and its
GM is pretty close to Intel's.

3D Nand is mentioned as "in the market with disruptive cost in 2015" - sounds very promising and this way, Intel has access to this technology just as Samsung does.


Their SSD sales seem to be growing at a nice pace. Perhaps 3D NAND is the catalyst for the market transitioning to SSD. The bell curve in the deck suggests they don't believe it will be even half transitioned before 2018. Still lots of opportunity for growth before it commoditizes.
