I think Castro is one of those guys they probably expected to be a 300-30-100 guy and GG defense, and as much as I'm his fan he is not that kind of player.
He is also been surrounded by nothing good outside of Rizzo. So the idea that he would not have some imperfections by learning on the job. Keep in mind the castro still ain't even in his prime. He has been surrounded by nothing, not much veteran leadership too teach him the ropes. I just think the cubs had unrealistic expectations on castro, and when he didn't meat it, they were disappointed. Truth be told I think he is gonna be a 3-4 war SS for the next 5-10 years. Those kind of players don't grow on trees, especially on a cost effective contract in my opinion.
